Truth, Hypothesis, Law, and Scientific Theory

You must have seen that many people deny general relativity because it is just a "theory". On the other hand, gravity must be 100% true because it is a "law". In fact, gravity has been proven so accurately and completely that you can even call it a "scientific fact". Unfortunately, all these common perceptions are not always true. The words "truth", "hypothesis", "theory" and "law" have very specific meanings in the world of science and are not exactly the same as what we say in everyday life. In the following, we will explain each of these scientific keywords with examples.
